Once again we have seen an unprecedented applicant pool from high schools across the county. Many strong students continue to value the Virginia Tech education and community of Hokies. This year we received the highest number of freshman applications ever: 21,201. Applicants of this year included students from MariamanteAcademy, as well as more than 3,160 other high schools from 48 states, two territories and 53 countries. More than 93% of our applicants applied online, which continues to be our preferred method of receiving applications.
